Land2SOW's reason for attending the meeting:
Our Mission: To serve the unserved small rural independent BIPOC farm landowners and producers.
Our WHY: In the Ag space of farmland businesses, there are landowners that own thousands of acres of land, land that produces big crop commodities by growers. These large farm enterprises may be represented by the landowner, who is also the grower. But what about the BIPOC farmers who is renting land from BIPOC landowners, what's does their representation look like?
Our Intent: By standing in the GAP for local BIPOC landowners and farmers, like other allies, we continue to bring your economic concerns to the forefront, but we engage at a local level to bring the resources and dialogue needed to bridge the gap between being served and unserved.
Our work in the community: Since this year's launch, Land2SOW has opened many closed doors to local BIPOC commodity producers in Bulloch County; establishing table-talk 1:1 conversation about issue that matter to you; organizing opportunities to voice the daily struggle with obtaining Ag supplies and financing leaders and we have provided master-mind meeting session with chemical company, farm agencies and NCRS.
Since October 2022, as a non-profit enterprise, Land2SOW has provided climate-smart dialogue opportunities for both BIPOC landowners and growers, as we continue this collaborative work, we appreciate your continued engagement and your financial support through donations.
We are accepting donations to attend the National Black Growers Annual Council on December 11 - December 15, 2023. All donations must be received by Friday, December 15, 2023.
